David has a background in software development and mathematics, and was the principal architect and developer of Billing Bureau’s first billing system in 1994. David is a Director of a number of technology and telecommunications businesses, a best selling author and public speaker.
Paul SmythManaging Director
Paul is an engineer with more than 30 years experience in operational and executive roles. Prior to Billing Bureau he ran his own software engineering firm which specialised in designing, building and operating billing systems for both domestic and overseas telecommunications companies and major financial institutions.
Michael ZikarasChief Growth Officer
Michael has worked across energy, telecommunications, digital marketing, finance and insurance industries over the last 23 years in senior management and executive roles. He has proven success across sales, marketing, customer management and service, as well as building his own businesses in Australia and overseas. Michael specialises in delivering growth via digital, traditional and partnership channels.
Samir SanghaniSystem Support Manager
Samir heads Billing Bureau’s development team and has over 20 years experience in the telco/billing/software engineering industry. Prior to starting with Billing Bureau in 2005, Samir developed OSS components to manage Telstra networks and also developed and deployed various wireless messaging products for cellular operators in India.

Bronwen joined Billing Bureau's development team in 2002. In her current role as Customer Support Manager and as one of our lead developers, Bronwen ensures continuity between the GENEX development roadmap and the evolving needs of our customer base.

Emily is an experienced marketing communications specialist, with a focus on digital marketing. She has worked with branding including Bunnings, Officeworks and Liquorland, as well as a number of software development businesses to optimise their marketing efforts.
Established in 1989, Billing Bureau is a software company with expertise in billing solutions.
Starting as a bespoke software developer, Objectiveware, our first billing system was built in 1994 with the deregulation of the telecommunication industry in Australia, to service one of the first types of subscription businesses – telecommunications resellers.
Based on increasing demand for sophisticated billing expertise, in 1998 we set up a “bureau” service to support several resellers.
In 2006 we became Billing Bureau, more accurately reflecting the nature of the business, and launched our first web based platform.
In 2010 the system was redeveloped using a service oriented architecture and employing Microsoft’s .NET platform, and the new web-based console, GENEX, was released.
With the emergence of what has been labelled the “subscription economy”, our portfolio of customers has diversified, with new subscription businesses across multiple industries leveraging our capabilities.
